Abstract
Background: To evaluate the effect on electrocardiogram (ECG) following transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation on stellate ganglion region.

Methods: Twenty healthy volunteers were examined. A 12-lead ECG was recorded before being applied transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and after being applied TENS on bilateral stellate ganglion during 30 minutes. ECG was recorded in 30 minutes and 60 minutes after TENS. Then each ECG parameters were analyzed and compared.

Results: The right side TENS induces significant increase of RR interval, PQ interval, QRS interval and QT interval in 30 minutes and 60 minutes after TENS, While left side TENS induces significant decrease of PQ interval, QRS interval, QT interval and QTc interval in 30 minutes and PQ interval in 60 minutes after TENS.

Conclusion: We conclude that TENS on stellate ganglion change ECG parameters like stellate ganglion block.
